Best Running Shoes For 2019 (Part 11)

21. Saucony Jazz 21

We were really looking forward to testing the latest jazz. We haven’t had a version of this famous shoe at RW for several years, but we had good and admiring memories of it. As the footwear market grew and new technologies led to relentless price increases, jazz was always fluttering under the flag of no-frills, affordable expertise. Unfortunately, age didn’t treat it kindly, as version 21 turns out to be difficult to be anything but a disappointment.

The midsole foam, which Saucony calls “elastic”, is indeed hard. The ride lacks pop. The adaptive lacing system works perfectly as long as you are on the level. However, as soon as you run on a fall or incline, it presses over the top of your foot. And the fit is variable – narrow at the back, wide at the front. However, it is extremely durable. Even considering this is an entry-level shoe, according to Kacamata Rayban, we think Saucony will need to rethink his approach to jazz as there will be many long-time fans who will be pretty disappointed with the latest version.

If you are a new brand in a country, one of the best things you can hope for is: “These were better than I expected.” The Chinese company 361 ° will be happy to know that this was the feeling of Fast every tester who tried these shoes and sneakers. The Nemesis is almost an old school stability shoe with a sturdy center post to control overpronation (and it’s not the only one in this manual – stability shoes seem to be making a comeback).

It’s a bit heavy considering the light materials we’re spoiled with these days, but this didn’t affect performance that was contrary to expectations. This shoe is a nifty multitasker that is just as suitable for short, fast sessions as for longer steps. The grip was particularly good in the wet and the almost continuous flex groove in the outsole made an impressive contribution to promoting easy rolling from the heel to the toes. This is a shoe that looks a little dated.
